5.0 out of 5 stars best book on visualization
This book is a classic in visualization. It treats visualization from a magickal viewpoint. What seperates this book from other texts on the subject, is the authors use of visualization practice on the earth, air, water, fire and spirit symbols which are given in the book. 3.0 out of 5 stars Very average
As the last reviewer stated, this book does approach the subject from an esoteric viewpoint, but I still felt that the book lacked depth and Ophiel tends to repeat himself constantly. He also contradicts himself and by the end of the book I got the feeling that he was selling the premise from a magickal viewpoint but in reality his conclusion is no different from other...

5.0 out of 5 stars best book on visualization, June 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Art & Practice of Creative Visualization (Paperback)
This book is a classic in visualization. It treats visualization from a magickal viewpoint. What seperates this book from other texts on the subject, is the authors use of visualization practice on the earth, air, water, fire and spirit symbols which are given in the book. Any true occultist knows that these symbols represent the elements of all reality. By their mastery through visualization, one can gain tremendous control over reality. It is for this reason that this book is so special. He also gives the laws that go into making visualization into something that works.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seeing is Believing, February 12, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Art & Practice of Creative Visualization (Paperback)
The exercises in this book can help you see. You aren't just told to imagine a blue flame -- but told steps to help you learn to see the blue flame. You are told about the sphere of availability -- that is, something that is not out of your range of possiblity when you apply your mind to drawing the desired object to you. Things are explained that are not explained anywhere else I know of. For instance, have you ever noticed that sometimes a person may win a lot of money or be given money and then it is gone quickly. Ophiel explains why this happens. He tells how to stop this from happening. He explains how to draw to you the things you need and want and how to stop your new blessings from becoming a burden. If you underestand occult principles at all, this book will be a help to you. If you don't understand, perhaps you'll miss it as a couple of the other reviewers has. If you don't understand, but are open to want to understand, then this is a good place to start. What is told here works. That is the bottom line.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks, From A Much Older And Wiser Mystic, July 20, 2009

This review is from: The Art & Practice of Creative Visualization (Paperback)
I read this book many years ago when I was first beginning my own journey towards the light that compelled me. While at first I found the writing style quaint, redundant, and certainly curious, still something beyond the writer's compositional skills rose to the surface as I read, a feeling of appropriateness and truth that anyone who is sensitive to the golden currents of true occult wisdom recognizes almost immediately.
In fact, the book and its most specialized and rare knowledge truly affected the course of my metaphysical life in positive ways and to amazing degrees of occult success that will forever in debt me to this wonderful, quirky, and rare author.
It so affected my magical life that I later contacted Mr. Peach(Ophiel) at his home in California, and in only a ten minute conversation, I knew and recognized him and his incredible information for the REAL thing they both were.
It is with the greatest pleasure, as now I once again get to revisit some of the most wonderful places of my own past, that I open to read these amazing, mysterious old pages.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of those rare books that tells you both how and why, August 25, 2006
This review is from: The Art & Practice of Creative Visualization (Paperback)
The author manages to explain an extremely difficult topic in an understandable way. Follow the instructions in this book and fill in gaps by reading Ophiels "Art & Practice of Astral Projection" and you will be surprised how many "coincidences" that come your way.

As the last reviewer stated, this book does approach the subject from an esoteric viewpoint, but I still felt that the book lacked depth and Ophiel tends to repeat himself constantly. He also contradicts himself and by the end of the book I got the feeling that he was selling the premise from a magickal viewpoint but in reality his conclusion is no different from other non-magickal books on creative visualization in that in order to acquire material things they basically have to be in your 'sphere of availability', i.e. simply that you have to buy them. I wasn't very impressed as he seems to be using language to convince his readers that these 'spheres' are magickal/occult when really they are just common-sense assumptions.
