Who Better To Teach Putting Than Ben Crenshaw!

Winner of 11 PGA tournaments, almost $2 million in prize money and the 1984 Masters, Crenshaw has long been regarded as perhaps the best pure putter in all of golf.

The Art of Putting-Ben Crenshaw features:
  • Using slow motion and sophisticated electronic graphics, Crenshaw's approach to teaching is simple and direct
  • The Art of Putting is entertaining as well as informative and there is something here for beginner and expert alike
  • As a special bonus, video contains tips from Bobby Jones
  • In 1931, Jones, the greatest player of his era and one of the best players of all time, made a series of instructional films called How I Play Golf
  • Included are highlights of his film on putting
  • In addition, Crenshaw, one of golf's premier historians, uses a series of old film clips to analyze the putting strokes of the legends of the game, from Bobby Jones to Jack Nicklaus
  • A table of contents with counter numbers is enclosed for easy reference
  • Length: 45 minutes

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money at all!!, May 12, 2001

This review is from: Art of Putting [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video tape does not add any value to my putting game at all. All he says is "Everyone puts differently, therefore there is no one single defined way and you have to feel it." Additionally, the tape is probably only last for 30 ~ 40 minutes and most of the time are the B/W pictures of all the great playerslike Bobby Jones, Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus and Lee Travino, but does not provide any detail explaination on why they putted so good. Since open-stance, close stance, using arms or using wrists won't make any difference as long as you are used to it. Therefore, according to the video tape, the best way to lower your putting strokes is to keep on putting on the practice green without thinking about your swing or forms.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Video, June 4, 2000

I, like most golfers, was having trouble putting. This video is fantastic. I changed my putting grip, putter, putting stance, after 15 years of mediocer putting, after seeing this video. Now I am a golfer who can't wait to get to the green to putt. If your serious about improving your putting and getting out of the "duffer" zone -get this video.
