Very Inspiring!,

I am new to quilting but not new to art. I have worked in paint and clay for 20 years. This book has given me the confidence to go forward using fabric as my new medium.McMorris and Kile guide you through the history of quilting and how "The Art Quilt" evolved. The artists documented are pioneers in the quilting world. They have helped to open doors for quilters to be seen as artists. Whether you aspire to be a quilting artist, simply love to make quilts and are looking for exciting inspiration, or just love to admire beautiful work by passionate people - this is a wonderful book. I am glad I bought it. I only wish this latest edition had more recent works. |
