This book has a wonderful introductory section, followed by the exhibit catalogs for Quilt National for 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001 and 2003. It's wonderful to have them in one volume. But if you already OWN all the catalogs, you should know that this book is just the same, except the individual books' introductory sections (jurors' statements, etc) are omitted. If you don't own all the aforementioned exhibit catalogs, you'll abosolutely love having this book in your collection! It would make a stunning gift for upcoming holidays, as well.

This 4.5 lb. book is worth every penny. May I please offer 6 stars or more. The artwork created a lasting smile and roused my muses.

I have visited the websites created by some of the artists as well as purchased some of their books via Amazon. If you are at all interested in art of any kind, I suspect you will be delighted.

This is the companion book to the PBS dvd, The Art of Quilting. If you do traditional quilting, this is not for you. For you who crazy quilt or art quilt, this is eye candy over the top. Many of the quilts were featured in the PBS dvd. But there is so much more in the book. This is the book to pick up when you are feeling "quilter's block". The beautiful pictures will inspire your creative side. The pictures are well done, in color and beautiful. This book will get worn since you will looking at it again and again.
