changed my life,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Art of Reflexology: A New Approach Using the Chinese Meridian Theory (Health Workbooks) (Paperback)
A friend lent me this book and I started using it right away. Some books on alternative healing have a lot of interesting theory and some have hands on information. This book has both from the theory of meridians to the exact "grips" one uses during a treatment. I recommend it highly and hope that it become's available soon

This book was kind-of hard to read, but over all the information in it has been so useful! The book teaches techniques that the author uses in her practice. The art that she uses works wonderful, she has case studies so you can see how reflexology helps different patients, she tells the history as well. Overall a very good book, well written, informative, and fun! I gave it 4 stars because of it being a little difficult to read.

This book is very important to me and not because I massage feet. It is a book that has helped me to understand acupuncture, my body and my mind. It brings everything together in a very clear understandable way. It has a diagram for every organ in the body and its unique flow path. That is why you can tell how the ball of your foot rests in your heart. And pains or sores or warts in other parts of the body may be a sign on that pathway depicting trouble. All organs are paired with another completing the yin yang pattern....well it is more than a pattern more a real complement of interaction. So trouble in the bowels may well also speak to the hearts also. It is that sort of book that if you read it and absorb it you find out so much. It has taken me years. So I keep it by my side as a reference book always wanting to know more. It is balance that needs to be achieved. If there are kidney problems then the partner organ needs to be fed as well. Some energies flow downward others upward. Diet and herbs and exercise are used to facilitate this especially when pathways become clogged or even go in reverse.
Soon after buying this book when I did have an interest in foot reflexology I read somewhere else that it does not take a skilled practitioner to help with the condition. That any amateur can do it and doing it ...massaging someones feet does indeed help even if you don't know where all the organs are. Basically the senses and brain start at the toes and like imagine your body on its back with the head being at the toes and the heart at the sole and digestive organs around the arch area and so on. The book will show you exactly. And like wise if you have a pain in your foot or toe or toenail or ankle or heel or burning soles be sure and look it up. This is a wonderful book that helps to explain the meridians of the body. I believe ardently in this concept and can't wait for medical doctors everywhere to take more advantage of it. And I'm American of European/Russian descent.

Was informed the book was no longer available and my money was being refunded. My gift was not completed. Can't rate this particular provider very high. Never got the book so can't rate the book. Can't send this review unless some rating is given so, gave it a 4 stars though I never saw the book.
