5.0 out of 5 stars Get "Better Nasty than Sexy" instead
This book contains some stunning examples of modern-day erotic art--girls so lush they are definitely not real, but painted so convincingly they seem like they should be. Easily as good as anything by Sorayama or Olivia, although backgrounds are entirely non-existent. However, if you buy this book the royalties will go to the wrong person. This review is from: The Art of Ricky Carralero (Knockabout Comics) (Paperback)
Ricky Carralero imported the originals from a Mexican artist named Armando Huerta, put his signature on them, and then sold off both the rights to publish them AND the original artwork under his name and without giving a cent to the actual artist.

Armando continues to paint new work, and has a collection called "Better Nasty than Sexy" also available from Amazon. Buy it instead and make sure the right person profits from it.

This review is from: The Art of Ricky Carralero (Knockabout Comics) (Paperback)
As it has been stated before, Ricky Carralero actually painted over the works of another artist and took credit for it. Please consider this before purchasing this art book.

1.0 out of 5 stars awful!, May 9, 2011

This review is from: The Art of Ricky Carralero (Knockabout Comics) (Paperback)
Absolutely awful airbrush paintings of women - no style, class, or any elements of distinction or interest. If you want to learn how NOT to paint pinups, this book is for you.

This book is all about the female form. Ricky's drawings of the breasts are as arrousing as a drawing can be. I don't have much to say about his originality, or variety. And good luck finding a background. But for those who celebrate the female form, this book is for you.
