This review is from: Art of the Senses (Hardcover)
Full color photographs on virtually every page show the grand splendor of African artworks, with each piece having a paragraph of commentary unto itself in Art Of The Senses: African Masterpieces From The Teel Collection, which showcases the varied pieces of the Teel set for the first time. A thoughtful discussion of how art aficionados today view African creations, as well as how Western labels have been applied to such works throughout the ages for good or ill, the cultural context of these expressions, and much more rounds out this incredible and highly recommended artbook for public libraries or any connoisseur's personal library.
