About the Author

Chuck and Debbie Robinson have been interested in seashells since childhood. They each began collecting shells at the New Jersey Shore. Together they have been combing beaches since 1984. Their quest for shells and other beach collectibles has taken the Robinsons to the beaches of Canada, "Down East" Maine, Massachusetts, Virgina, the Carolinas, the east and west coasts of Florida, and the Florida Keys. They have also been shelling in the Bahamas, Bermuda, St.Martin, and in the United States Virgin Islands.

The Robinsons educate the community about shells and shelling through slide programs and shell displays.

Chuck Robinson is also an avid photographer. A popular project is his slide presentation "Atlantic Coast Seashells."

Debbie Robinson has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Masters of Science Degree in Education Student Personel Services. She is currently a director at Ocean County College, Toms River, New Jersey.

5.0 out of 5 stars A shell hunters guidebook --- Maine to Florida, November 9, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Art of Shelling: A Complete Guide to Finding Shells and Other Beach Collectibles at Shelling Locations from Maine to Florida (Paperback)
The Art of Shelling is loaded with interesting facts about shells and other beach collectibles. It provides detailed information on how and where to find shells at twenty-six locations in six East Coast states. I truly found this to be a great companion on my vacations at the beaches mentioned...as I found shells right where the book said I would!
