Unwieldy, but worth the price,
By BP Mills (Boulder County, CO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Art and Spirit of Paris (v. 1, 2) (Hardcover)
Huge. Gorgeous. Well written. Tons of art. Tons of text. All you need for the long, cold winter.
The books weigh a ton so they are a bit hard to handle. The binding looks to be strong enough to prevent any easy damage. The reproductions are fantastic. The advantage of the large format is the ability to have the images at such a size that you can really study them. The text is well written, and would be worth buying on its own. This set is a real treasure. |
