This review is from: The Art of Surveillance (Paperback)
Bar None, This is the most complete and informative text on surveillance available today. Kelly Riddle does an excellent job covering the technical and tactical aspects of surveillance. The thirteen chapters, which cover everything from foot surveillance to stationary and mobile tailing, are peppered with real world examples and diagrams to illustrate the points discussed. The author doesn't get bogged down or fixated on one methodology. Instead, Riddle compares and discusses a wide variety of methods and weighs the pros and cons, which ultimately provides the reader with a useful reference and educational tool.

That Mr. Riddle is experienced in this field is evidenced by his knowledgable and logical discussions of the various topics presented. The book could use a good editor's touch to maintain focus in a small number of places and to polish the text. The diagrams, slightly amateurish, are still clear and instructive. Also, it would behoove the author to print an updated second edition as there have been some advances in technology and changes in the law in the five years since the book was originally released. There is no reason, however, that this book should not be on the bookshelf of every new PI or insurance investigator. * A STRONG BUY *
