Great for beginners
gives a great brief introduction and explanation of tarot reading. Card definitions brief and card spreads few, but excellent for beginners and those looking for knowledge and entertainment.

Good first deck
It's a good first deck to get started with and the book it comes with is very informative and a quick referrence. I'm happy I bought the cards and have had great readings with them. The colors and pictures to the Major arcana are colorful and pleasant, though thier stories are not easy to read. You definately have to look up the definitions especially to the minor...

It's a good first deck to get started with and the book it comes with is very informative and a quick referrence. I'm happy I bought the cards and have had great readings with them. The colors and pictures to the Major arcana are colorful and pleasant, though thier stories are not easy to read. You definately have to look up the definitions especially to the minor arcana for quite some time. This can help you learn the meanings of the deck. Also, the tree on the front of the cards makes it easy to tell when you have inversed cards. Even though I'd rather not know if a card is inversed until I flip it over,if you don't read inversed cards (as some readers do not), then it is easy to just flip the card upright before you flip it over.

if you want pretty pictures or cards that visually connect to the card's name, then this is the deck for you. but the book with the card's "meanings" is complete rubbish. it should be thrown out by the practiced tarot user and ignored by the begining tarot reader.
