Textured illustrations. Earthly tones. Technical prowess. These are the terms that come to my mind as I work my way slowly through the book.

Tommy Lee Edwards is an incredibly accomplished illustrator. His impressive client list includes Warner Bros, Sony Pictures, Coca-Cola, Lucasfilm, Wizards of the Coast and many other major entertainment companies.

He has created movie posters for -- another big breath in -- Men in Black, Star Wars, X-Men, Harry Potter and many others. His illustrations for movies carry a very textured look, one that I can't tell if it is from the drawing board or from his brush.

In addition to the posters, there are also sketches and comic panels included.

This is a very simple art book with no captions. The quality of art speaks for itself. You can check out more of his art on his online portfolio.

From his amazing line work to his Drew Struzan inspired paintings; Tommy Lee Edwards effortlessly juggles beautiful color and dynamic figure drawing in this collection of work. This is a wonderful book of jaw-dropping art that can either push you farther in your own artistic endeavors or make you raise you hand and say, "I give up." Well worth every penny to see this many great pieces by an artist that deserves to be a house hold name.
