This is a wonderful CD with some lesser known works. All are played with intelligence, passion, and flawless technique (all instruments). I didn't know the artists, and was most interested in hearing the violist--he has a beautiful bold sound with a full palette of tonal colors. Great value--thank you, Naxos!--for such fine performances, excellent recording quality, and interesting and unusual literature.
