All the other salt grinders are designed by imbeciles, or for grinding an air......when a hard grain of salt is caught, it is impossible to rotate the top to get some salt!! This one has decisive prongs - look good and extremely ergonomic!! Solid materials, great workmanship, great price.

I got this salt shaker mostly because I had purchased some coarse sea salt and some coarse kosher salt a while back for specific recipes. This little gadget is certainly helpful in using up these wonderful salts. It's very simple to fill - just pull the top off and pour in your choice of course salt - and it's easy to use - just twist the top. The clear design is perfect for any table setting. I only wish it was a little larger, but other than that, for the money, it's perfect.

I bought the pepper grinder along with the matching pepper grinder as a gift. They have a clean, simple look to them and they do the job of grinding well, especially for the price. As a note, I prefer a fairly coarse grind, so haven't tried to set them for a very fine grind. I like these well enough that I'll probably buy a pair for myself, too.

I thought this was a good deal for a very good salt grinder. The others cost more, but this one seems just as good and also, has a mate in black if you want it for another spice.

Like the pepper grinder, I like this salt grinder because it looks good, works well, and disributes the salt evenly. I have never had a salt grinder before so this experience is new to me. Since I am using more Kosher and sea salt, I like to grind the salt for greater consistncy in size. Like the pepper grinder, I have not figured out how to refill the salt. Others seem to believe that this is simple, but I would have appreciated and would appreciate instructions.

I bought the Arta Dolce Salt Grinder (and the pepper grinder to match)and have been using them for several weeks. Love the pair! Work perfectly and fit conveniently in a basket with dinner napkins to set on the table top.

This salt grinder is okay for regular sea salt but it was advertised to work with Celtic salt. It doesn't. It clogs immediately. I don't know of a grinder that does but I wish I did...

Maybe I received a dud, but this pretty little grinder just kept falling apart. There were no directions on loading this, and it seemed very straight forward, but the bottom internal piece that holds the grinding mechanism would 'just' slip out and out would pore all the rough salt. After every one in the house tried to get this thing to stay together, and every one had spilled a grinder full of good salt, it was time to send this baby back.

Amazon handled the return of the grinder perfectly, they sent good instructions, and my account was credited very quickly. Amazon did a very good job. Arta Dolce needs to do some work on this grinder.

It is a pretty device, and I like the handle size and shape.

I love it. I like the fact that it will grind coarse or fine. I just placed my order for the matching pepper mill today!

I bought both the salt and pepper clear grinders. The Pepper grinder came well-wrapped in bubble wrap, but the salt grinder was packed loose on top. The top of the grinder was almost off and a small amount of salt had leaked out into the package. However, by having the top almost off, I now know how to refill the grinders. I have no clue as to how to adjust the corseness and I don't want to experiment too much and break them. The pair are attractive and will serve the purpose but wish there were simple directions with them.
