4.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet
Warning: this story appears in the book The Artemis Fowl Files, so if you have that, you don't need to buy this separate volume.

This is a short and (truly) sweet--but also evil genius-y--episode in the story of the the young criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl and his interactions with the Fairies and the Lower Elements Police. It takes place shortly after...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for a boring drive.
A cute little book to pass the time on a boring drive or short plane/train trip. Fills in the gap between other Artemis instalments like a cookie between meals. Must have if you are a fan.

This is a short and (truly) sweet--but also evil genius-y--episode in the story of the the young criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl and his interactions with the Fairies and the Lower Elements Police. It takes place shortly after their first adventure together in Artemis Fowl (new cover).

I have to admit, the ending warmed my heart. I'm smiling now just thinking about it.

Great short story, but if you're a real Artemis Fowl fan, you probably already have it since it also appears in The Artemis Fowl Files.

2.0 out of 5 stars Badly Written, July 18, 2010
This review is from: Artemis Fowl (Paperback)
This book shows something only hinted at in other books--the importance of a good editor. Eoin Colfer can produce good books when his interesting characters, original plots, and funny jokes are all thoroughly gone over by a good editor. Sadly, all the good editors were on vacation when this book was published.
