I've been feeding my cats this food for over 3 years now (before the packaging change). Love the ingredients: lots of meats at the head of the list plus fruits&veggies for micronutrients that chemistry can't provide.

There isn't a whole lot of (for lack of a better term) flavor fluff coating the food. I bought a bag years ago of some food (could have been California Natural) that had an incredible amount of flavor powder at the bottom of the bag. Another (possibly local) brand Vets Extension is pellet formed - my cats ate a lot more because they swallowed it whole. The shape is a slightly rounded square with a round hole in the center. This forces my cats to actually *bite* the food.

Mercifully, the highly vocal cat hasn't turned his nose up at after all this time.
