Attractive, spacious design with plenty of white space and crisp, full-color photos makes a fine background for this collection of 60 make-it-yourself cards, invitations, and tags. Twenty contributors, most of whom make their living as mixed-media artists, added their ideas to the collection, and their art backgrounds show clearly in the projects' decorative touches and sophisticated combinations of design, pattern, and color. Some of the most interesting cards incorporate hand-stitched or three-dimensional details. A helpful discussion about materials and techniques opens the book, but many crafters will go right to the projects, which are presented with lists of materials and tools, step-by-step instructions, and a large photo of the finished item. Just purchased this book today and am amazed at how many great project ideas are in this book. Photographs of the projects are lovely and directions are pretty simple. I'm looking forward to sharing it with my rubber stamping friends!
