A Conductor Adds His Own Ideas,
By Presko (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Arthur Bliss: Christopher Columbus (Audio CD)
A curiosity, and not because of the selections. The conductor/arranger goes by one name (Adriano) and has seen fit to compose a little (bridges linking bits), and do other tinkering. The recording is 20 years old, made in Bratislava. Serviceable, but not as good as the vintage EMI lp with its plangent sound. A study in contrasts.
