Homesickness,
By
This review is from: Arthur Goes to Camp (An Arthur Adventure) (Hardcover)
This book tells about the time Arthur's parents decided to send him off to camp. Arthur isn't sure he wants to go, and is a bit homesick. The children at camp play pranks like setting off smoke bombs, putting frogs in people's beds, and hiding their clothes. Arthur writes home postcards about how lonely he is. He still manages to enjoy himself somewhat, however, when he helps his team win the intercamp scavenger hunt. Arthur fans may get a kick out of this book, as well as kids who dream of going to summer camp. The book about 700 words.

Arthur Goes to Camp (Cloth),

This review is from: Arthur Goes to Camp (An Arthur Adventure) (Paperback)
This book gets three stars primarily because we love Arthur. This story, however, seems a little short changed. It appears that the text version cannot due justice to the idea of Arthur finally feeling comfortable at camp. Arthurs change of heart at the end is a little to quick for the kids to process comfortably. The illistrations are wonderful as always.

Arthur Goes To Camp,
This review is from: Arthur Goes to Camp (Arthur Adventures) (Audio Cassette)
While attending a session at the Double "H" Ranch in upstate, NY, I found this book. At the time the Ranch allowed children the opportunity to take one book home. To this day, I still have this book, and love to read it!
While the focus is on Arthur's loneliness,is a common feeling for young people in many situations. Arthur learns being away isn't all bad. A new adventure's around the corner for Arthur, and his pals!
