Review

The characters are legendary: King Arthur, Lady Guinevere, the wizard Merlin, the sorceress Morgan le Fay, the knights of the Round Table. Their stories are rich in magic and intrigue.

In one adventure, Arthur will lose his life unless he can discover the answer to this riddle: What do women most desire? Arthur asks many people and receives many different answers. Some say that women chiefly desire wealth. Some say beauty. Some say the power to please others. Feeling that none of the answers is right, Arthur searches on. But time is running out. --From the Publisher

Though nothing in the title or description at Amazon says so, this is an abridged version. Do not waste your money: get the real thing.

Your family will be delightfully drawn in to this rendition of Arthurian legend. These 21 stories, though simplistic (meant for children 9 and older), are very nicely written, quality works of literature. The stories create true anticipation and excitement as you wonder the outcome of the various battles. You'll appreciate the qualities which made knights knights--virtue, courage, loyalty, chivalry, and so many others. What values to share with our children in a world that turns good into bad and bad into good! If you want to share quality tales about the Round Table with your elementary-aged children, you have found a gem in this text!

I think this book just gave rushed through some of the things that happened in the actual book..I say it is ok because for someone who cant be bothered with the "whole nine yards" they would get the picture. Good thing it was free also!!

Good story. Lacks real emotion and depth. Seems more like a brief summary. But overall, good. I love the knights. Couldn't put it down despite reasons listed above.

I started to read this in 8th grade but never finished it. So was very happy to find it for my Kindle.

This book is a good book for the younger readers, 2-3 grades, but for an eighth grader like me it wasn't my favorite. It has no story line because its more of a collection of short stories. If you are like me and you like an interesting book with a good plot, this book isn't for me.

While this is not the whole of the "King Arthur" that I know, it was an interesting variation with many of the same characters and several more tidbits.
