5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic resource on Ivanhoe, February 22, 2010

This review is from: Sir Arthur Sullivan's Grand Opera Ivanhoe and Its Musical Precursors: Adaptations of Sir Walter Scott's Novel for the Stage, 1819-1891 (Hardcover)
The scarcity of good scholarly material on this wonderful opera is greatly relieved with the availability of this book. Mr. Dailey has provided an insightful look into this often neglected opera, which, when it premiered was an unrivaled success. This is the perfect companion to the work.
