Created for young readers, Meister and Erkocak's _King Arthur and the Sword in the Stone_ offers a fairly traditional retelling of the childhood of the future King Arthur. The book opens with his birth and Merlin's spiriting of the infant away for safekeeping and moves quickly to his adventure with the Sword in the Stone. Arthur frees the sword and is acclaimed king (and revealed as the heir to the last king) as the story ends. The creators have also produced a sequel, _King Arthur and the Black Knight_, but I have not yet seen this book.
