Very Nice, but maybe not an all-time classic,
By Leggo Ami (Richmond, VA USA) - See all my reviews

First: Musically, this album fits in perfectly between the Edu Lobo and Marcos Valle releases from the early 70's. If you love those guys, you will dig this. Do not buy at these huge prices, though. It isn't so absolutely essential that you should spent 30 bucks. I'll just say, this...there's a certain well known Chicago record store online that sells this release for something like twenty bucks less. A word to the wise. Second: The sound is a bit muddy. It doesn't sound as if it was remastered, though due to its rarity I guess it's a miracle we have it at all. Who knows how much to blame on the original mix? Third: Wax Poetics #36 "The Brazil Issue" features a brief article on Verocai.

One of the Best CDs Brazilian Music Has to Offer,
By Anonymous Coward (USA) - See all my reviews

If you like Brazilian music ala the almighty Joabim, Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa, then you'll love this. This album is on par with any of them. Honestly, this CD just blows me away everytime I listen to it, which is often! Honestly, you'll love this album.
