3.0 out of 5 stars It's funny and cute
My boys love the pictures ~~ and I enjoyed reading the story about Arthur's first sleepovers and his little sister's concern about aliens. After a trick goes bad, Arthur returns the favor to his little sister. And it's just cute.

It's a great book for beginners. If you're a mom of toddlers, this book is just cute to read ~~ it's not repetitive nor boring. It's a fun...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for youngsters, April 11, 2010

It's funny, when my 3 year old son first had this book read to him, he acted very scared by it, but I quickly realized he had just discovered what it felt like to experience suspense! He became obscessed with this book and had me read it over and over. I finally got an audio CD version, and he continues to listen to that and follow along in the book. He absolutely loves this book! He likes being scared and then realizing that it's actually funny. It was a great transformation, or maturing, that I got to witness in him because of this book. I will always have fond memories associated with this book...........when he finally tires of it, that is......

4.0 out of 5 stars Another great Arthur adventure, April 14, 2007
Arthur is a great series of books for English Language Learners and younger children (K-3rd grade). They really enjoy the stories and each one has an important lesson to be learned. This one is no exception.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Arthur's First Sleepover: An Arthur Adventure (Paperback)
I read "Arthur's First Sleepover." In the story Arthur was having a sleepover in a tent. D.W. thought there was an alien. Arthur was trying to find a flashlight. Buster and Brian came in the door. In the tent they they had junk food. And I want to say it is funny.

5.0 out of 5 stars a really great book, March 6, 2000
By A Customer
Original Reviewer : Tommy Bruzina I liked it because it was funny, because DW played a trick on the boys, then the boys made a trick of their own to scare DW. Arthur had a fun time on his sleepover.
