Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

Marc Brown's fine fellow of an 8-year-old aardvark, Arthur, loses a library book (the latest story from the Scare-Your-Pants-Off series), and he searches and searches everywhere for it. Mystified by its disappearance, Arthur does what any child his age might do in this situation: wonder if the scary book walked off somehow by itself. This entertaining story of responsibility is followed by an excellent episode about sibling dynamics, "D.W.'s Imaginary Friend," in which Arthur's sister gains an invisible pal, much to his embarrassment. --Tom Keogh

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Detective Book, November 27, 2000

This review is from: Arthur's Lost Library Book [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a good Arthur movie.Arthur lost a lost library book, taken by Binky, because everyone wanted it,and Arthur took a lot of books. So a bunch of friends chased him, until his most-want to read:The Mysterious Hand was taken by Binky. So Arthur didn't know where the book was of course,so he made Binky be a detective.Binky forgot it he himself who had taken the book, and Arthur was really worried,so he had bad dreams, until Binky found the book.A great enjoyment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of Arthur's Lost Library Book, February 24, 2007
I recommend this DVD for family viewing to everyone. My kids, ranging from 5 years old to 14 years old, still enjoy watching the series. Since there is not much of a selection for family viewing on our local stations, we decided to create a DVD library. This was one voted by the kids as well as the parents to have. The three episodes included in this DVD edition are: (1) Arthur's Lost library book-about Arthur losing the latest Scare-Your-Pants-Off book from the library; (2) D.W.'s Imaginary Friend-D.W.'s new imaginary friend, Nadine, moves into the house and follows D.W everywhere, even to the Amuzement Park, much to Arthur's dislike; (3) D.W.'s Libary Card-about D.W. getting her first library card.
