5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding release!!!
I've been a fan of Cause & Effect since they released their first album and they have continued to release quality cd's throughout the years and this is no exception. I have to disagree with the previous reviewer as the other tracks on this cd are excellent. When Cause & Effect mellows out, you can really hear Rob's voice which is outstanding. The music in my opinion...

3.0 out of 5 stars Worthy return but wish it wasn't so mellow
I have been a big Cause & Effect band since the very first independent album release before they were signed to a major label, and have continued to follow them through the death of Sean Rowley (half of the original duo) and the comeback since. I have been a big Cause & Effect band since the very first independent album release before they were signed to a major label, and have continued to follow them through the death of Sean Rowley (half of the original duo) and the comeback since. I have seen them in concert twice even. So, I was quite excited at the prospect of a new Cause & Effect release. "Happy?" the lead single, is a wonderful classic Cause & Effect song without sounding overly retro. Any long-time fan will absolutely love it. Unfortunately, the other tracks are much more mellow and immediately reminded me of the past few Howard Jones albums in that kind of adult contemporary synthpop way. They are not bad, but a little too contemplative and slow for my taste. Cause & Effect had slower songs on their last release (The Sunrise EP) too, but those managed to have a really cool blissful house vibe that reminded me of the early 90's band The Beloved, but these lack the "prettiness" of those tracks. Unless you like the slower side of Cause & Effect, I would suggest instead checking out the band's website first to see if they still have available as a free download the remix of "Happy?" as that is the best track from this EP.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding release!!!, September 3, 2011
I've been a fan of Cause & Effect since they released their first album and they have continued to release quality cd's throughout the years and this is no exception. I have to disagree with the previous reviewer as the other tracks on this cd are excellent. When Cause & Effect mellows out, you can really hear Rob's voice which is outstanding. The music in my opinion is perfect as it shows the maturity of the band thru the years. It definitely isn't dance music but it doesn't always need to be dance music to be good. Cause & Effect has released Artificial Construct Part Two and I bought that without hesitation. It's just as good as this one. Both are highly recommended.
