If you do close-up things, you need this lamp! Taking a splinter out... changing a battery in a watch... reading a product warrantee... checking how wrinkled your hands have become (sorry!)... doing fine calligraphy... doing maintenance on a sewing machine and much more.

It is sturdy and well made. The packaging is great and shipping is fast.

Now go get one!

I mounted this light on my workbench, and I use it for reloading purposes. It is perfect for what I intended it for. I use it during case prep to inspect each case head for small cracks and imperfections. My only complaint is that the fluorescent light interferes with my digital scale, but I knew about that before buying it. This light is sturdy, well built, and functions as expected.

I bought this product as a gift for my husband who loves to build models but has had trouble seeing the small parts lately. He has only had it a month or so, so I can't comment on durability. That said, it arrived quickly and in perfect working order. The light is not only bright, it's enclosed which is a great point for him as he works with tools right next to it (and thwacking the bulb would be an easy thing to do). It attaches easily and the cord is long enough to reach the 6 or so ft. to the outlet. It took him all of 5 minutes to set it up. The magnification is great! I've even used it to read tiny print on a bottle that I couldn't quite make out.

Highly recommended.

Delivered on time and as represented. Seems to be good quality and sure does help when working on the plug connections on a motherboard.

I guess for the price it's OK. I would have rather spend more money for a better quality. The knobs for the adjustment is hard to turn and wouldn't stay at a certain position without me holding it down with my chin. I have another lamp that is of a better quality, so I have something to compare it with. Plus it came with the bulb broken, I had to replace it. The packing was not enough to secure the bulb.

Mostly a decent lamp but a huge complaint of mine is that it refuses to stay in position where I need it. Tightening the knobs doesn't even come close to helping. I had to add a weight to the light to get it to somewhat cooperate but is still quite a pain to use while soldering because of that. Otherwise - the light is good and the magnification is good.

My order just arrived and I like the Build quality, it seams very solid unlike some higher priced units I have played with...

My only complaints are:
I would have liked a higher magnification... The specs on the page say 3x but I think it's 3 Diopters (1.75x)
The lamp is 22 watts but seams overly dim... (I was using a 60 watt lamp...)

I bought the lamp to do some precise DIY work at home.
It does the job pretty well for the price, however, it has one annoying design flaw: there are screws with large rotating plastic knobs to fix the joints in certain positions.
The bottom knob next to the fixing clamps is absolutely unnecessary, that screw doesn't need to be tightened often.
However, the knob is too large and limits the rotation of the light around the vertical axis.
I replaced that knob with a normal screw-nut and it works properly now, allowing the rotation without limits.

The lights intensity is good enough and the magnifier glass helps a lot to check tiny parts.

This magnifying lamp was a gift. It arrived in a decent interval of time after the order was placed. Unfortunately, the display box was placed inside a shipping carton without benefit of any material to cushion the product resulting in the fluorescent bulb being broken. A replacement was not so easy to find due to the specific color of the original bulb (which is one reason this model was choosen). Although the retailer would not refund the cost of the replacement bulb, they did refund the cost of the shipping and were prompt and communicative during the post purchase negotiations. I would purchase from this vendor again but probably not items that are breakable.

I have ordered his type of item before for work and it's much as I expected.
One small draw back is that the magnifying lighted head is a bit stiff because of the power cord leading into the head unit.
My first unit the light died, it was the electronic ballast.
Where I ordered it from had UPS come pick it up and sent a replacement which seems to be working fine.
Overall the customer service is right at the top of of my list.
