This has some of the clearest explanations/illustrations of how to adapt your own photos for artistic purposes. While I am an art quilter, I think anyone wanting to use Photoshop Elements to edit photos for almost any purpose would benefit from reading (and using) this book. I will refer to it often.

I love this book! Charlotte Ziebarth's work with Photoshop creates spellbinding imagery that she prints on fabric and reassembles! The book itself is easy to read and beautifully photographed. Also, the steps for using Photoshop's layers to create the kinds of images the author uses in her quilts were clear and photographs were used to further illustrate the results of each step. It is interesting that the photos used in the authors works haven't been the best in terms of focus or quality, but they have served to create wonderfully etheric forms and effects for the author's fabric art pieces. The author's goals for the book is to inspire readers to play with their photographs in Photoshop. Well, I'm inspired and planning to do just that!

Kudos go to Charlottle Ziebarth for filling a void and authoring a wonderful book in which she shares her passion for both the art quilt and photography....and much more. With the turn of each page, readers are carried through Ziebarth's own personal journey of creative discovery. The images are high quality throughout, and Ziebarth's friendly narrative is both comfortable and clear. I highly recommend Ziebarth's book for inspiration and instruction as well as for the pure visual pleasure readers will receive.

This is the perfect book for the quilter like myself who is interested in photo transfer and using Photoshop Elements. The author really opened my eyes to the photographic possibilities out there and how to manipulate them into wonderful quilts. I carry my camera with me everywhere now!

I'd never been particularly drawn to photo quilts before, but this book has opened my eyes to some stunning possibilities. I've ordered PSE7, and plan to use my collection of nature photos as self-education with the help of this book and "PSE7: The Missing Manual". Ah,the thrill of exploration!
