This is perfect for the price. Contemporary looking with thick glass. We've had ice buckets before where the glass was too thin and they would literally crack when you dropped ice in them. Not sure what people mean by saying this bucket is too small - not sure how many people they are trying to entertain. It absolutely holds a bottle of wine (not a 1L, but a regular size). Perfect for putting out ice for 4-6 people, or chilling a bottle of vino. Loved it so much that we ordered 5 more for guests to use in our bed and breakfast.

I bought an ice bucket almost identical to this design from Crate and Barrel a few years back but unfortunately it cracked after a foolish wash with water that went from hot to cold too quickly. Unfortunately they discontinued that product, much to my chagrin. I found this and was quite happy to order it straight away. It arrived quickly, but I was disappointed with the size. It's definitely an ice bucket, as in for holding ice, not for cooling anything off. You can fit a bottle inside, but the neck sticks out, and you wouldn't be able to take it out and put it back properly. I considered returning it, but it was cheap, and still looks stylish. I will keep it for those moments I want to impress at a party, but isn't what I was looking for.

Bought this as a replacement ice bucket. Why are most ice buckets SO expensive? There's also a lot of crappy looking ones out there. This one had a nice appearance and is durable without weighing a ton. Only down side is that it's not insulated.
