The six-inch Plant-it-Earth sphere is available with a twelve-ounce bag of chocolates all wrapped in a colorful foil with a map of the earth printed on each. The three-inch Plant-it-Earth features an acrylic ring base while all other models come with a sculptured base like those pictured here. Depending on the globe to be created, this process can require 8 to 18 separate hand operations. Each piece is then carefully inspected and passed onto the thermal process. At this step, each piece must be heat soaked for several hours. Then each piece is fitted into a blowing tube to create the hemisphere. To assure optical clarity, the hemispheres are free-blown.
