While this book covers many already familiar houses, the layout is thoughtful and inventive, the text is informative while including many interesting asides that make it one of the best introductions to the topic that I've seen. If you just want one book on the Arts and Crafts house, this is it.

The photos in this book are outstanding, they glow and invite you to come in and stay awhile. The book is very informative as to the beginnings of the Arts and Crafts movement, the book has lovely photos of many houses in England and some in North America.
