I couldn't put this book down. I believe this will be the next Late Great Planet Earth in terms of popularity. The coincidence rate is so high in terms of these disasters happening at the same time American actions for dividing the land of Israel have happened makes it very hard to believe that there isn't some serious truth going on here. McTernan's predictions about the future are very real and disconcerting. If we divide the land of Israel are we going to give a few blocks of downtown Manhatten to the Al Queda? I hope not.

I disagree with those who would give a poor rating because the author is drawing connections between natural disasters coinciding with the US forcing Israel into giving away land. Maybe a couple of times might be a coincidence but all the events listed (and there ay many) along with the obvious loss of power & prestige of America it is becoming clearer. After you read this excellent, scholarly work you need to seriously ask yourself this question, when was the last time in America that we dominated? Since 91' we have gone from being the head to the tail and there is no glimmer of light that we are headed to being the head anymore. The sooner you see it the sooner you will see the truth that leaps out of the pages in this book.

I've read many good books that have changed the way I think, but none so impacting that I had to stop and write a review. Aside from the demonstrated Biblical truth that God still, "disciplines those he loves" (even on a national level), I found the chapter on the three upcoming battles (chapter 10) to be the best and clearest presentation of Biblical prophecy--it "connects the dots" with the various end-times scriptures and gives a very practical understanding of the current middle east situation. Very well done work. I also checked some of the events listed in the book via a quick Google search and found them all to be accurate.

This book opened my eyes to some things that had not occured to me before. My copy is all dog-eared and marked up with a yellow highlighter after having read it. I can't imagine the research that must have gone into connecting times that the US pressured Israel to divide her land in exchange for peace, to incredible disasters that have subsequently come upon America. The chapter titled "Jerusalem, God's Anvil" speaks loudly as to how God continues to use the Jewish people to reveal Himself to the world as He said that He would through His word.

If you have any interest in the history of Zionism, the roots of Islamofascism, and the soon coming of the Day of the Lord, get this book. It's extremely well researched and easy to read.

The author shares some good points of what has and is happening. He has a tendency to repeat and ramble using up a lot of reading time. He could have conveyed the same amount of information in half the amount of pages. but the book was factual and very true. All in all it is still a good read.

This is an awesome and sobering book. It details the fact that America has been a blessing to the
Jewish people from the beginning of our country. This has enabled us to become the prosperous
nation that we are today. However, when decisions are made that go against the nation of Israel,
swift judgement occurs. The author gives numerous examples of this.
Also, very good insight as to where this country is headed based on recent government decisions.
A must read!

I highly suggest this for all readers that desire to understand further the plight and need for the Jewish nation to be a prevalent thought in everyone's mind. Including nations of the world in today's turmoil.

In the end, it is up to the reader to make any correlations that McTernan makes regarding historical events. Nonetheless, the importance of Jews and the Holy land of Israel can not be understated!

I would also recommend reading "Constantine's Sword: The Church and the Jews" by James Carroll as an excellent read regarding the history of the Jews under the strain of the Catholic Church.

I bought several extra copies to give to friends and relatives, one of them being my 34 year old son who was in prison. He read it twice and is a history buff, and said he had never dreamed these things were connected. It was an eye opener for me also. I had noticed the connection of Katrina and the Gaza removal of Israeli citizens, but this in depth study was quite significant. I feel it should be a wake up call to America and the president concerning the prophesies about Israel and God's covenant with them and thier part in the last days senario. We should not be shaking tier hand with one hand and stabbing them in the back with the other. Phyllis Butterworth

Every day brings news that makes you think, wonder and search for the Hand of God in daily events. This author writes well, clearly and concisively so that you take his words with you into your reading and study of the Scriptures.You will certainly double your prayers for America and Israel and wonder who is the new American president actually and what is his direction for the United States in connection with Israel.

I found this book very enlightening, and it certainly brought out the truth of God's commitment to bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. America is on very shaky ground, with a leader who needs to wake up fast.
I'm a Kiwi, not American, but the challenge is also for New Zealand and for every other country. Israel is the apple of God's eye and He is deeply committed to what He has chosen as His country and His people. We go against Him at our peril.
John McTernan is an excellent writer and I highly recommend his book.
