Nice Little Comapnion Book
This was originally titled "The AA Way of Life", but was later changed because the book was the veiwpoint of only one man - Bill Wilson. There is a lot of plain basic common sense and wisdom in these snippets gleaned from years of Wilson's writings. It's not bad for use as a reflective reader for daily meditation/contemplation.

Great book if you ignore the author's hypocrisy
For me, the character of a book's author influences the message I receive from the words he writes. This book may, as others believe, contain words of wisdom, but for me, they ring hollow. Why? Because I know that Bill W. was a notorious womanizer who cheated on his long-suffering wife with a long list of female AA members...who started AA with stolen money...who stole...

The book, "As Bill Sees It", delivers exactly what the title promises. This is a gleaning of the best thinking of the founder of AA. Whether you are well acquainted with AA literature, or simply a curious first time reader, this book is an excellent resource.The text is a compilation from a variety of Bill W.'s works, including letters and talks given as well as selections from the "Big Book", AA's Bible. Each selection centers around a particular topic or theme, and is succinct and though-provoking. The exhaustive index is very helpful, and guides the reader to other works in which the subjects are covered in greater detail. I recommend this book to anyone who has a desire to stop drinking, as well as to the family and friends of alcoholics who seek a greater understanding.

Nice solid companion reader. Its brief readings are good for the newcomer to help take the program's teachings in smaller bites.Well worth adding to your library.

A wonderful compilation of Bill's opinions on a wide variety of subjects those in any 12 step program should be aware of. Index by subject at the front enables readings scattered throughout the book to be read together, for instance "humility". Thought provoking and insightful.

This book is VERY useful in our group discussions and is a good tool for an individual's brief meditations. The excerpts from other writings and thoughts of one of our co-founders spawn some creative dialog and thoughts about options for living a life in recovery.

This is an excellant, insightful book for the alcoholic trying to recover. I suspect it would be very useful for people trying to understand the disease. I was informed by Amazon that it was unavailable after I had ordered it and I wound up getting it from another source.
