Bronwyn Parry writes gritty romantic suspense, set in Australia's wild places. She lives on 100 acres of beautiful Australian bushland, abounding in wildlife - kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, sugar gliders, quolls, and koalas - and travels extensively through rural and outback areas of the country. Her first novel, "As Darkness Falls" won the Romance Writers of America Golden Heart Award for best romantic suspense manuscript in 2007, and was a finalist in the Romance Writers of Australia Romantic Book of the Year Award for 2008. Her second novel, "Dark Country", was a finalist in the Romance Writers of America RITA Awards and the Romance Writers of Australia Romantic Book of the Year Award in 2010, and won the Australian Romance Readers Award for Favourite Romantic Suspense novel of 2009.

Moving Australian Romantic Suspense,

Bronwyn Parry's romantic suspense is unashamedly Australian but does not rely on stereotypes of any sort. The heartbreaking back story of the destruction of Bella's faith in people - her own people - and the redemption she finds through working on the case of a missing child make for an engrossing story.
The romance between Bella and Alec moves quickly, but feels real. This is much more of a romance than the second book in the series (Dark Country) seemed to be, but the mystery of the crime is still the most prominent element of the story. I cannot wait for the final book in the trilogy. This country needs more authors writing in this genre. This is really a four and a half star read.
