We've had the movie for a while, and I often dismissed it because I really can't stand the creepy animals in it, especially the elephant. Those eyes are just wrong.

But recently I was reading while the kids were watching - without the visual disexperience, I noticed how lovely the soundtrack was. I was enchanted by the singing voice of Barbie, Melissa Lyons.

So we bought the soundtrack, and listen often in the car. The messages are simple and sound, not complex, and kids respond well to it.

I may never quite accept the animation of the Barbie movies, but the recordings, this, and Princess and the Pauper, have become part of the soundtrack of our household.

My daughter is 2.5 years old and loves this CD. We checked it out at the library and she has specifically requested it for Christmas several weeks later. We don't even have the Barbie, have just read the book. The songs are catchy, even my husband was singing them!

This is another Barbie movie soundtrack CD with which your kids will drive you nuts playing repeatedly. The standout track on this CD, "I Need to Know," is almost Disney-classic quality and will speak to your heart in a way that few songs do. Even the pop version is beautiful. "Always More" is another touching song that's not only fun for singing along, but has a lovely message. While it doesn't quite have the oomph of Barbie Sings!: The Princess Movie Song Collection (or the number of tracks), the overall CD is very good and will be appreciated by both kids and adults.

Very cute. It's got all the songs from the movie that my daughter loves so much. She gets the doll and puts the cd in her player and sings away...

The music for Barbie movies is surprising well written and preformed. It doesn't bother me at all to listen to them with my kids and sing along. Any little girl ages 3 to 9 would enjoy this.

My 4 1/2 y.o. daughter LOVES this CD. She likes to put it on at bedtime and fall asleep listening to it.

My daughter is 4 and a huge Princess fan. She listens to CDs at bedtime and if you like the movie you will also like the music. As an adult, I find the Barbie videos good for kids with good moral and ethical messages and the music is sung beautifully. Can't say I love the marketing of toys, but hey this is America and it is time to start the list to Santa.

The video was great but the songs are even better. The whole family (including our little girl's older brothers) enjoy singing the songs. The CD is loaded in the family van and we all sing along with it everyday.

I bought this CD for my 5 year old daughter who loves Barbie. She has all of the Barbie DVDs. When it first arrived, she went to her room and blasted it out loud while singing and dancing to the songs (a preview to her teen years to come?). She also likes to listen to it inside the car...and I'll admit that I can sing most of the songs too...

I have bought cd's that are supposed to be from the movie, but didn't sound like it.. This is just like out of the movie. My kid loves it! She sings it in her room everyday! If you have a child that loves this movie, you HAVE to get it... They will put on muscials for you all the time :)
