Book Description

The story of Noah is one of the most captivating in all the Bible. Yet most people remember it mainly as a children’s story found in picture books and heard in Sunday school classes. But this tragedy really took place—and widely overlooked is Jesus’ stunning prophecy that the final days of planet Earth would be just as it was in the days of Noah. His point? That there would be striking parallels between Noah’s day and the end times—with warnings of God’s imminent judgment upon the world. Is Jesus’ prophecy now being fulfilled? And if yes, how then should we respond? As It Was in the Days of Noah explores the similarities between the two periods, such as the rapid rise in evil and increasingly flagrant disregard for God. A powerful resource that…examines the signs that we’re nearing the end times; affirms the urgency of reaching the lost with God’s compassion and truth; and equips you to live wisely and “redeem the time” so it counts for eternity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book! A must read for all! March 28, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I listened to Jeff on "In the Market" with Janet Parshall and was very impressed. I have read some excerpts and even Jeff's free chapter on his website. I highly recommend this book. He tells the truth and holds back nothing. Our generation is truly in parallel with that of the days of Noah. I also found it very interesting that a lot of the content in his free chapter also can be found in the book, "Those Who Are Wise Will Shine!" Understanding God's Work in your Redemption, also found on amazon. If you like this book you may consider adding that one as well to your library. That book answers the tough questions about the judgment of the flood, the work of God in scattering the people at the pagan Tower of Babel while protecting His own, and why God told Israelites to kill everyone when they entered the promised land. He had to keep the Messianic bloodline pure, a topic Jeff also stresses. Finally, there are a lot of writers coming to terms with what really happened in the antediluvian world. For that I am thankful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Readers of Bible Prophecy MUST READ this book!!! April 19, 2014
After the latest Hollywood movie to launch onto the big screen, Noah seems to be the talk about town. There are so many critics that argue just how accurate the story was to the biblical story, but one can hardly argue with the fact that in almost every single race and culture that there are around 270 versions of the story of the great flood. Coincidence or Godly intervention? I say the later!

What I do love, is the book that I happened to have found primarily through numerous advertisements on my Facebook page, As It Was In The Days of Noah from author Jeff Kinley. I wrote to him and kindly asked for a complimentary copy to review as the Bible's story of Noah is kept to about 3 chapters in Genesis beginning in chapter 6, but I knew that there had to be more to the study of Noah's life. How did Noah become so righteous if the entire world was declared by God to be destined for destruction based on their sinful lives? What was the importance of rain being used to judge mankind? Who helped build the ark? What was the significance of Methusaleh in Noah's life? More importantly, what does all this mean for the future of the world?

I have to say, when I got the book in the mail, I was surprised at how small the book was. I was hoping for a thick book filled to the brim with research and reference for me to follow along with my Bible. Yet God is amazing in using people like Jeff Kinley to shine the light in the dark places, one doesn't need a whole lot of light, just a bit to make it dark no more and that is just what you get in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tremendous! April 16, 2014
As with a couple of the other 'reviewers', I find this new book to be incredibly important for Christians and non-believers alike. For Believers, to be encouraged to walk closely with God and to those in the process of Believing, to have your eyes and heart open to the Truth. Jeff Kinley is not only an amazing writer, but I found his thorough and balanced understanding of Scripture to be extremely refreshing. This is a 5-star read and everyone who reads this will be strengthened and encouraged.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy reading but 100% Truth April 16, 2014

Confirm. Confirm. Confirm. There is nothing in this book that doesn't confirm what I have observed or discerned in my lifetime. I shook my head in agreement and often broke into tears for it's truths and parallels to Noah's day and signs of these times. Jeff is brave for bringing out many topics because many will mock it. But it has to be told! Every single person should read and receive these truths in this book, much like Jonathan Cahn's The Harbinger and all of Andrew Strom books.

5.0 out of 5 stars As In The Days of Noah April 14, 2014

I found this book to be the most important book I've read in quite a while. I am fairly adept at understanding and noticing when scripture veers off course or is not "quite right." Jeff Kinley hits the nail on the head from beginning to end in this magnificent book. This book is a clear, simple read and yet profoundly deep in the truth of God's Word. I was totally captivated in reading this book and could visualize all that has happened, is happening and is going to happen. I recommend this book to every Believer in Christ who don't quite understand the second coming of Jesus or what is called the rapture. I also recommend it to those who don't know Him in order that they might be led by the Spirit to understand the truth - that a storm is coming, like it or not. I believe this book will help everyone understand what we call the "end times." From beginning to end, Jeff lays out our Sovereign and Holy God's awesome love, patience and longsuffering for His creation. Thank you Jeff Kinley, for this book. My husband will be reading it next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed the book May 18, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Just finished reading"One Second After" which gives the writers account of what will happen if an enemy hit us with a couple of EMP (electromagnetic pulse) bombs. Basically it sends us back 100 years. It was interesting reading and lets one know how unprepared we really are in that situation or even similar ones. "As It Was In The Days Of Noah" shows us historically and prophetically that God's judgements have happened and will happen. In the first book one prepares for survival, in the second, one prepares the heart for salvation. This book is a good look at where we are in history, how we got here and how it ends.It makes you ponder your place in time and your relationship with Christ.
My only question after reading the book is the authors take on repentance. In these two examples he states," choosing to be a homosexual won't send anyone to hell. Choosing to reject Jesus will." and "With Jesus Christ, all sin is washed away for the one who trusts Him. Idolaters? Covered. Homosexuals? Declared righteous." Is he saying (and I'm not implying just asking) that you can continue in your sin and be saved?

REV. C. H. Spurgeon, "Repentance" is a hatred of sin; it is a turning from sin and a determination in the strength of God to forsake it. "Repentance" is a hatred of sin, and a forsaking it.

2 Corinthians 7:10
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

I enjoyed the book and have recommended it to others.
