5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book For Creating Wedding Ceremonies!
I have used this book of wedding ceremony advice for over a decade to officiate weddings. In that time, I have done weddings for almost every known major religion. I use the ceremonies inside this book as a template to create my own versions for my couples. 2.0 out of 5 stars Too many Ceremonies of Different Faiths
The author includes Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Contemporary ceremonies, it is just too much. My cousin gave me the book and loved, I however did not. I guess it just depends on your taste. She had a much more traditional wedding than I want, so it worked better for her.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book For Creating Wedding Ceremonies!, December 10, 2007
This review is from: For As Long As We Both Shall Live (Paperback)
I have used this book of wedding ceremony advice for over a decade to officiate weddings. In that time, I have done weddings for almost every known major religion. I use the ceremonies inside this book as a template to create my own versions for my couples. The book has all the basics that you or your minister would need to make your wedding day totally unique or traditional.

If a couple is going to write their own vows and create their own ceremony then this would be the book to use. I use it for interfaith marriages and try to combine elements of each religion into the service. The book even contains guidance for music, poetry and prayer options.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wedding Vows, April 20, 2008
This review is from: For As Long As We Both Shall Live (Paperback)
My husband and I used this to organize our Wedding ceremony with our minister. There were incredible suggestions and ideas in the book. We used something out of almost all of the chapters. We were especially touched when we found the perfect prayer to have said at the end of our ceremony. We chose a Native American prayer. My sister plans to marry in August of 2008. When she announced her plans to marry I told her she had to have a copy of this book. I was glad Amazon. com had a copy for me to send to her.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book for a personalized wedding!, September 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: For As Long As We Both Shall Live (Paperback)
As a minister who has officiated at over three hundred weddings, I have found this book to be extremely useful in helping couples select wedding materials which reflect their own relationship. The wedding service is broken into parts and couples are given many contemporary, as well as religious, materials to use in each part. The end result: couples who feel that they understand every thing that is being said, and feel closer because together they selected the materials. Couples from different religious backgrounds have told me they specially found it useful in understanding their partner's values, goals for life, and understanding of marriage. It is a must for couples who seek to use the wedding service to deepen their relationship.
