5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Magical...brought me to tears....
I first began reading LM's books a few days ago, and before I know it, I'm hogging every single one of her books I can find from the library!!!!! I'm SOOOOOO into her books that my parents think I should hold down on the reading and do a little more of what they call "outdoor activities." Well, the two novels in this book touched my heart and brought me to a whole new...

1.0 out of 5 stars A disappointment
When I was reading the summary of this book, I thought it sounded like a great book. Much to my dissatisfaction, it turned out to be a terrible book. The author moved the stoyr along much to quickly, and it wasn't anywhere near deep, considering the plot. The author didn't draw me into the book. I wish I'd not spent my $10.00 on the book and won't be buying anymore from...

A Kid's Review
This review is from: As Long as We Both Shall Live: Two Novels (Mass Market Paperback)
I first began reading LM's books a few days ago, and before I know it, I'm hogging every single one of her books I can find from the library!!!!! I'm SOOOOOO into her books that my parents think I should hold down on the reading and do a little more of what they call "outdoor activities." Well, the two novels in this book touched my heart and brought me to a whole new meaning of life. I realized how special I was to not have a disease or illness, that I'm lucky to be in great health. All of LM's books showed me that, but of all her books, this one I found full of love and beauty. April Lancaster found her true love, Mark, and won't let go of him now that they're together. He showed her how to fight for life and from death and to always find hope. But when Mark has a terrible accident, April becomes all alone. Full of grief, she decides to leave for a little vacation spot to keep her mind off Mark's death, where she meets Brandon. I won't say anymore; you'll just have to find out what happens when you read this book! I really love this book and treasure it as my own. Once I finished this book, I couldn't stop my eyes from weeping. It was so sad, yet full of happiness. Please read these heartwarming stories and I guarantee, You'll Be Very Amazed as if you were just given a Gift From God.

I have been always hooked on LM Books and I have to say this is one of her best. I couldn't put the book down and I finished the book in the middle of the night. My opinion it is a must read. It is sad and heartwarming the same time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Book worm review, November 22, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: As Long as We Both Shall Live: Two Novels (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was awsome. I personal liked the first story better which was about a boy with cf who meets a girls with a brain tumor. They grow to love each other and deal with intense problems. But the boy dies and the girls feels alone and empty. The second book takes up from the first book. The girls moves to an island and meets a boy with nothing wrong. The become friends but the girls tumer is worse than ever and she doesn't know if she will live even another minute.'

5.0 out of 5 stars Stories of Love, June 16, 2004

This review is from: As Long as We Both Shall Live: Two Novels (Mass Market Paperback)
I like this book because it containes two novels that complete each other. The first book is about April and Mark. April is in the hospital having some tests run, and you know that when a test returns positive its never a good thing. Mark suffers from CF and he proclaims to April in the hospital that one day they will be married. You have to admire him for his guts, if not insanity. April is turned off at first because of his illness, but Mark is ever persistant. The story is about them falling in love and dealing with each other's illness. The second book is about April and Brandon and their love. I cant tell you more about this book without giving away the first book, so thats all the summary I can give. These two books are about loving and giving. The stories are sad, but tears are to be expected from reading McDaniel's work. I really like these books because of the underlining message of self sacrificing love, I hope I didn't give too much away by saying that. I loved these books and they did make me cry. Read these and enjoy more of McDaniel's work with the One Last Wish series and the Dawn Rochelle novels.

5.0 out of 5 stars very good reading !!!!!!, February 3, 2009
This review is from: As Long as We Both Shall Live: Two Novels (Mass Market Paperback)
I got into these books from my daughter , i bought her the whole set . They are very nice and shows how important it is to have a good quality balance in life and let loved ones know they are loved. Life can be so short so dont waste a minute on negativity , embrace only positive things that will make you happy. I loved April Lancaster's story . Am reading some of the other ones right now . Keep up the good work , i will look out for other new ones in the future .

4.0 out of 5 stars desperately sad, March 7, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: As Long as We Both Shall Live: Two Novels (Mass Market Paperback)
If you can ignore the simple writing, this can be a wonderful book. After McDaniel's Angels Trilogy this has be my favorite book of hers.

It's a sad tale, but at the same time terribly romantic. One of the few books that made me tear up near the end (for the second novel, at least.) And while I knew the ending to each novel already, they still shocked me.

Decently written, it's a fast read, but well worth it.

I'd give it five stars but the writing is a bit simple and the dialogue can be unbelievable at times.
