5.0 out of 5 stars Review of Twin Draft Door Protector
Saw this add on the TV and the door to my apartment has a significant gap where I can detect cooler aid entering. I was just fortunate to see the add on TV and immediately took down the required information in order to make the order. Thus far, totally satisfied. Am using masking tape to connect the interior section of the door protector to the door itself because it was...

3.0 out of 5 stars Twin draft guards will work on some doors
The three twin draft guards arrived today which was surprisingly fast. They will work on my doors because the doors aren't routinely used. One is an attic door and two are closet storage doors. I was also surprised by the fact that the guards are not 36" as advertised. They come in two lengths of 18" each. This difference in configuration, 2 pieces as opposed to 1 piece...

2.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money!!!, November 13, 2008

This review is from: Twin Draft Guard (Brown) (Kitchen)
I received my twin draft guard in a timely manner, but when I did receive it by mail it was bent so this affected the product. I TOTALLY wasted my money. I used it for a couple of days but, my god it was such a hinderance to open and close the door. The twin draft guard was bent so the material could not adequately cover the draft under my door. It could not even stay attached to the door, so I had to use tape, which was ridiculous It is now back in my closet. It is a purchase that I deepely regret.

1.0 out of 5 stars does not work, November 24, 2008
This review is from: Twin Draft Guard (Brown) (Kitchen)
This product does not work. My front door rolled over the foam padding causing the padding to get stuck under the door. I put it on my office door, which is an enclosed porch. It rolls a little smoother, but still does not block cold air.

4.0 out of 5 stars Blocks outside odours, March 26, 2010
This review is from: Twin Draft Guard (Brown) (Kitchen)
We live in a hight rise apartment and gets cigerette smell through the door at times, causing me severe headaches. I got this for the sole purpose of blocking the unbearable cigerette stench. There have been times when the entrance area would be filled with the smell in the mornings. We have used this draft blocker for a couple of days now and there is no smell. I wish to say this product has saved me a lot of pain... though I hope its not too soon to make a comment to jinx my luck!

I live in an apartment building, so I cannot vouch for its exterior efficacy, but it works perfectly for me. It fit my door right out of the box without any cutting, and blocks both light and air efficiently.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this product!, December 29, 2009

I'm not quite sure why the other reviewers seem to have a problem with this product. I have two of them and have been using them for a few winters now. I love them. The foam is easy to cut and the nylon fabric is light enough to fold back over onto itself. It moves easily with the door when it's opened and closed (I have hardwood floors). The only slight problem I've encountered is that from time to time it will slip out lengthwise so that I can't close the door. But, it takes a millisecond to slide it back into place with my foot and I'm good to go for quite a while again. At $9.95 it's definitely worth giving it a try. I recommend this product.

3.0 out of 5 stars Draft guard slips a bit when door is open, April 3, 2009

Overall pretty happy, but the draft guard slips out of place and requires a bit more effort to keep it in place as designed. Especially problematic when it becomes wet on outside--concerned about it holding water....

When it first arrived, I didn't think that it would work, with two flimsy foam sticks and synthetic cloth that couldn't be thinner. After trimming the foam length to size, it worked surprisingly well and no draft is felt. A few variables are important to make this product work: the flooring material, size of the gap, and how the door opens (in relation to the gap).

I have hardwood floor, so this helps the contraption glide easily on the floor when the door opens or closes, without snagging. I have about a 1/4" gap between door and floor, about as big as the gap could be for the Guard to work. My door opens in, and the draft comes from outside; this is important in that when the door closes, it pushes against the guard foam so no gap between Guard and door-bottom is present, on the side where the draft attempts to enter; this makes for a decent cold-air seal. If any of these conditions doesn't exist, I don't think that the product would work.
