4.0 out of 5 stars As described with one issue
This product works as described. It looks nice. It is easy to use. It holds the jewelry safely. It is easy to remove and put on necklaces with small clasps. However, the clasp is heavy and weighted. It seems to creep to the front of your neckline or necklace often and quickly. I find that I am constantly moving the clasp to the back of my neck. This is not a huge issue...

I'm going to tell you what they are not: Clever Clasp is relatively BULKY: big and heavy. This causes it to constantly rotate around the neck to the lower front. More importantly, although it has a a screw-on attachment besides the magnet, the screw-on part (during active wear, like tennis) frequently unscrews by itself no matter how tight you try to make it and the...

This is not a huge issue. However, without noticing it, it can be embrarrassing to have this huge clasp hanging next to your pendant while speaking to someone. It can become irritating to keep moving the clasp to the back of your neck. However, if that is something that will not bother you, this clasp does what it is advertised to do. It does make putting necklaces on much easier. I have worn the same yellow gold clasp on a regular basis and it has not tarnished or left a green mark on my neck so, the plating is good. I have even forgot to take my necklace off when showering and it did not fade the plating. So, overall - the clasp works as advertised, is nice quality but, is heavy and travels on your neck. I still use my clasp and overall would recommend others who need help with clasping jewelry to purchase it.

They are easy to put on and easy to use. Work well for my 82 year old mother-in-law.

These are far better than a normal fiddly opening. But to utilise them to the best safety you have to turn the 1/2" magnetic clasp to secure it. If you don't then a quick yank will remove necklace.

It's not hard to do and not as fiddly as an original clasp but I get confused which side I have to hold and which one I have to twiddle.
I get there in the end. If you don't mind it being secure the magnets are quite strong and is very easy putting on and off.

I love the extenders (which would be fiddly for arthritic fingers as it is the same type clasp as a normal opening to initially put on but can be easily used with the magnetic clasp.

good value and I would buy it again, just watch your hair doesn't get caught in it when twisting it to make it secure but then again that's the same for any clasp.

I'm going to tell you what they are not: Clever Clasp is relatively BULKY: big and heavy. This causes it to constantly rotate around the neck to the lower front. More importantly, although it has a a screw-on attachment besides the magnet, the screw-on part (during active wear, like tennis) frequently unscrews by itself no matter how tight you try to make it and the magnetic connection then easily disengages, causing loss of the neck chain and pendant. Not good.

This product is awesome! Anybody who has trouble with jewelry clasps will appreciate the ease of putting on bracelets again and necklaces, without asking somebody else to help you do it.

5.0 out of 5 stars jewelry clasp, September 7, 2008

The answer to my problem...fingers that don't work as well as they used to and necklaces with difficult clasps can be frustrating and make you want to chuck all your necklaces, BUT this set of magnetic clasps and chain extenders has saved the day. Sorry, Salvation Army, you won't be getting my jewelry after all. GG

1.0 out of 5 stars Missing Lobster Clasp, June 4, 2011

My wife ordered other versions of these products. The earlier versions had a lobster clasp built into one of the magnets, so that you can instantly add it to an existing necklace. This product has simple rings attached to both magnets

This is a problem. You'll be one clasp short if you try to put them onto an existing necklace (without tools). However they do come with extenders (that have lobster clasps); so you could get a pair of needle nose pliers and move the clasp to a magnet... hoping the ring doesn't come apart after being worked ... or you could use the extenders lobster clasp to connect two rings.

Either way you have 4 sets of magnets and two extenders, so you'll be two lobster clasps short.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gold color comes off, August 23, 2009

I love the product and have bought several boxes as I can't manage the small hooks any more. But the gold definitely comes off. I would rather have it that way than to do without but it is not pretty.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, but clunky!, May 16, 2009
This review is from: Magnetic Clasp (Health and Beauty)
A little bit clunky - you really need to have longer hair to cover the ugly clasp! Also fell off a couple of times cuz I didn't lock it!
