Bought mine a few months ago, read the instructions, and I'm still trying to figure out what I'm supposed to cut with it. Unless you apply brute force, it cuts nothing - not even sausage casing. There are caution statements and warnings everywhere about how sharp it is. Maybe it slices through human skin easily (I haven't tried that yet...) The potato peeler is equally disappointing. I've tossed both items because they are useless.

I remember seeing the TV commercials for the Yoshi blade and thinking it had to be too good to be true. No knife can be that good. Then I got one as a gift. And well what can I say. I find the Yoshi blade lives up to the hype it gives itself. I got the knife a year and a half ago and use it fairly often. It is still sharp today as it was the first day I got it. It really does slice a tomato as thin as you want it to be like in the commercials. If there is any draw back to it is that you do have to treat it carefully. The Yoshi blade stays so sharp because it is made of ceramic so it doesn't dull the way a knife with a steel blade can, but because it is made of ceramic it can break easily if not used correctly. It really pays to read the instructions. While it cuts meat with no problems you really should only use it on meat that is boneless. I find though if you use the knife with care and as the instructions recommend you should find the knife will be a big help in cutting up meats and vegetables when preparing them to cook.

This is a reorder, I have two of these, and took them to work to show the chef how well the peeler works. She loved it as well, so we order some. Reorder necessary because rough use caused the knife edge to get some breaks in it. If you are careful with the knife, this will not happen:) The peeler is sharp, very fast and easy to use. I love the minimal peel, clean but no wast of potato as with a knife. Highly recommend.

This is my second Yoshi blade. First one fell on the floor and broke in half. I love it for cutting meat (even if slightly frozen). Also great for veggies, especially celery. Stops it from shredding. It is VERY sharp; I'm very careful with it.

These knives are so sharp. They work great. The potato peeler works better than any other I have used. With 3 I sent 1 to a family member.

Had mine for over a year now and have always treated it according to the instructions. Now I have to saw with it to cut a whole pickle.

FANTASTIC CUTTING TOOL. ONE OF THE BEST TWO KNIVES IN OUR KITCHEN. WHEN USED PROPERLY, AND CAREFULLY, THEY ARE THE GREATEST.

I bought a Yoshi blade at a "seen on TV store" I was thinking, it's a ceramic knife and should be sharp, boy was I ever wrong. This thing is useless, and about as sharp as a blunt axe. I've tried to use it a couple times, and every time I go back to my stainless steel kitchen knives, that I keep sharp enough to shave with.
