5.0 out of 5 stars Strong magnet
I bought another version of this product first and the magnet was not strong enough to hold a necklace or bracelet. When I bought this brand I had occasion to restring a bracelet and used the Clever Clasp instead of the normal clasp. It works great. The other brand opens and I drop bracelets. The Clever Clasp keeps the bracelets on all day. It works fine on necklaces...

3.0 out of 5 stars A little heavy
I recently purchased this product at a local outlet store. I've seen the commercial enough to know that I would benefit from this product. As someone with carpal tunnel it's hard to put my jewelry on, the magnet in this particular product makes life a lot easier for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like it!, April 23, 2007

A relative gave me a set of these & I think they're wonderful. The clasps themselves combine the best of magnetic (easy to connect) & barrel clasps (secure hold). The little teardrop holders on the end ring of the necklace extenders are a help also!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Idea, November 15, 2007
This is one of those ideas we all wish we thought of. This magnetic clasp is simple to install and, no matter how hard I've tried, I can't get it to not latch properly.
It is very secure with a couple turns of the barrel lock. Although it may appear a little bulky it fits comfortably on the neck. I've also found that it keeps the necklace from turning on the neck and having the clasp wind up off center. This is important to me as I use it for a medical alert necklace that I always have on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mom loves it!, July 8, 2007

I bought this for my Mom, who has arthritis in her hands. She has real trouble working the little spring clasps behind her neck. She thinks these magnetic clasps are a god-send. She doesn't even have to get them close to each other - a swing or two behind her neck and *bing* they latch onto each other. She says they are very secure - after a month of daily use, she has not had them let go even once. A great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally!, March 2, 2007

I'm not the most dexterous person in the world. Having said that, it's no surprise that I have a hard time with clasps, especially the really tiny ones. Clever Clasp is the perfect solution--easy to use and holds tight. The included extenders are a huge bonus too; I hate when necklaces and chains are too short (which they always are for me). Well worth the price!

3.0 out of 5 stars A little heavy, January 25, 2008

I recently purchased this product at a local outlet store. I've seen the commercial enough to know that I would benefit from this product. As someone with carpal tunnel it's hard to put my jewelry on, the magnet in this particular product makes life a lot easier for me.

There are two big downsides for me, however. The chains on my necklaces are thin and getting the clasps to properly fit together was a big project on my part. I had to pull out my jewelry-making kit in order to add a larger ring onto my necklace. I also added the two-inch extender. It was a bit awkward though. Since all of the slack falls to one side it makes the necklace seem lopsided. Another downfall is the weight of the magnetic clasp itself.

For someone with heavier jewelry I'd highly recommend this product. For those of us using thin platinum or gold necklaces, I'd recommend looking into a standard magnetic clasp through a local jeweler.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, but make sure you "lock" it!, December 1, 2007

This works wonderfully, but if you're wearing something important, be sure that you screw the lock shut. I've had it just drop off--not sure how because the magnet is pretty strong. Really stops the frustration when you're in a hurry or breaking your nails doing it.

4.0 out of 5 stars clever clasp, June 28, 2007

Works fine. The clasp is a little large, and the extensions look cheap, but hopefully it will be in the back and no one will see it

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, September 22, 2007
This was shipped to me so fast I was shocked, good service. But the product is absolutely great. Don't buy the magnetic clasps that just come together, be sure and get this one as it screws shut and then the magnets come together, you won't lose this necklace. I love it, it was my second order.

1.0 out of 5 stars Much bigger and heavier than I expected, March 14, 2007
I can't use this on bracelets, it makes them too big and they slide off my wrist. Also, the clasp is really heavy so if I use it on a necklace, it is always hanging in front, and it is not attractive.
Waste of money, I have never actually used it.
