5.0 out of 5 stars At last, Jackie own thoughts revealed..., August 3, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: As We Remember Her: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the Words of Her Family and Friends (Hardcover)
Jackie Kennedy always said she'd never write her memoirs, but this book certainly comes close. I couldn't believe seeing "her" drawings, especially one of herself as First Lady, and her beautiful words of poetry. This book humanizes this glamourous international icon and takes the reader into the real world of Jackie, including her adoration of books and the artistic process, her generosity to friends and acquaintances (such as loaning her one home to a maid every year), her love of Egyptian art and her involvement in bringing the Temple of Dendur to the Metropolitian Museum of Art and what it personally meant to her. Like the Jackie, As We Remember Her is unique and tasteful; it truly is a treasure, one to be savored and celebrated for it reveals the heart and mind of a woman beloved by many

5.0 out of 5 stars I smiled, laughed, and cried as I read about her life., June 20, 1998
This review is from: As We Remember Her: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the Words of Her Family and Friends (Hardcover)
At first I did not want to read a book full of quotes, but I totally lost myself in the book. I spent the whole day reading it. When I got to the end when Jackie died, I found myself crying. She was an inspiration and role model for all of us.
