Young but sophisticated, March 23, 2010

A confession to Amazon readers: I'm 28 years old, 5 feet tall and 130 lbs and i still wear JRs clothing. I have been trying to stop buying Juniors clothing since i was 22 but my height and desire for "affordable" fashion makes it difficult. When i saw this dress i was skeptical, i have been looking for a dress that would create this silhouette, fit me well and still look sophisticated for sometime. This dress delivers, despite the fact that i have larger hips and butt (making buying JRs clothing difficult to buy too) this dress looks perfect. you cant really tell in the pic but there are 2 pleats in the front that give your tummy a flattened look and the belt hits me in the perfect place (i'm long bodied).
My only caution is the fabric on this dress is not what i expected, the pic makes it look stiffer like it has more shape but it's a jersey/microfiber thing that has a great deal more drape then i expected. This was good news for me since i wanted it to hang lower without adjustment but it wont create this silhouette for someone who doesn't have some natural hourglass shape. Also it is short, i wore it with tights to work but even at 5 feet tall it would be too short for me to wear barelegged.
