The first time I listened to this CD I missed the whole point and found it a little repititious. But after the second play, I began to realize that this album is about one thing...rythm. And the more I listened, the more incredible I realized it was. You can't just listen to the "melodies" here, you have to go a lot deeper than that. The rythms on these tracks are deep, sensual, and absolutely luxurious. Layer upon layer with a wide variety of instruments. I have probably listened to this CD a dozen times and am still hearing things I never heard before. Sit in a chair in front of your speakers (or better yet with headphones) and focus, listen intently to the layers of rythm, in the background and in the foreground, and it will blow you away. I have played it for a couple of friends and their reaction was basically "Wow, where did you find this??"
Highly recommended.

If you're a Bill Laswell fan, as am I, clearly this is Bill at his best. It's more trance than meditation music, but this is still one of the best CD's in my collection and a very pleasant surprise to stumble across. I find that I listen to this CD more that any other when I have to clear my head or embark on some projects that take thought as well as action. The music is cleansing, calming and inspiring all at the same time. I highly recommend it!

This is a really great CD. I teach yoga and my students really like this one. It has a really great flow for an ashtanga or a power class.

All I can say is wow to this relaxing, bassful, cheerful Chill Out Journey.
On one Track is female singer Asha Puthli who had a No. 1 Hit with The Devil is loose in the 70ties, popular with her Disco-driven L'Indiana in Studio 54 (Mr. Moonlight) and was joining Dum Dum Project two years ago.
