I got this router because it said it had an easy setup. It somewhat is but every time you get on the internet with any device that connects with this router you have to login to the router, that suxs! Then the wireless is hit and miss. Some times it works some times it won't.
I'm sending it back. Bought a Rosewill RNX-Easy400, cheap but it works like a charm!

In other review, I learned that every time I get on the internet with any device that connects with this router I have to login to the router. This is true BUT, according to Asante Technical Support website, this option will introduce a second authentication in addition to wireless security because Asante Smarthub is equipped with a hotspot feature mostly used in businesses such as coffee shops, restaurants and malls. After login, click on Advance Setup click on Administration select the disabled option for EZ Setup and click on Save Settings at the bottom of the page. The router will become normal as Medialink 150Mbps Wireless N Broadband Router or Cisco-Linksys routers. To me, this is pretty nice router for its design and much better than other routers such as Rosewill, Tenda, TP-Link, and even TRENDnet for its internal antenna.

Update (January 15, 2013): Most consumers complained in their reviews about dropping or unstable wireless signals and even unable to look for Asante wireless signal.

Almost all Asante AWRT-300N routers got this same problem (at least, I experienced with three of this product). After contacting Asante Support Service, I learned that AWRT-300N router's Radio Frequency is forced to Standard 20MHz Bandwidth, I did as instructed by Asante Support Service. All of my Asante routers work pretty well as the very expensive ZyXEL N4100 Hotspot do. I'm very happy with being owner of these Asante routers (got them from Walmart during Christmas Sale).
