5.0 out of 5 stars A good book for those who are new to ascension
I have read the book and I have to admit that I haven't encountered anything I didn't know previously. However, I would still recommend it to people who are new to this concept. For those who have worked earnestly with A Course in Miracles, or have read and practiced the principles in the books Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East by Baird T. Spalding,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good into to spirituality, weak of the advanced stuff
This book is a nice introduction to spirituality in general. If you have not learned much about spirituality outside of mainstream religion then this book will be valuable to you.

If you have been on the spiritual path of 'you' for awhile, there is not much new stuff here. The real heart of the advanced stuff, or nearly so, is in the very end of the book. The...

5.0 out of 5 stars A good book for those who are new to ascension, August 21, 1999
By A Customer
I have read the book and I have to admit that I haven't encountered anything I didn't know previously. However, I would still recommend it to people who are new to this concept. For those who have worked earnestly with A Course in Miracles, or have read and practiced the principles in the books Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East by Baird T. Spalding, Door of Everything by Ruby Nelson, or the books by Annalee Skarin, I don't think they will find anything new. The progress in this as in any other practice lies, of course, in daily practice and application of the principles to everyday life. To those who have read this book, I highly recommend to read the other books I mentioned, and some others such as Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda, God I AM by Peter Erbe and The Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman.

5.0 out of 5 stars First Thunder for the Left Brained, June 5, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Ascension!: An Analysis of the Art of Ascension as Taught By the Ishayas (Paperback)
Interested in the topic of ascension? Want a book that's all meat and no fluff! This is the one. Order it today. The publisher has reprinted and it is in stock. This is the sister book to First Thunder (a story for the right brained). There's three times the information on ascension in this book in half the space of First Thunder. It is a must have book

5.0 out of 5 stars A book that can change your life!, July 2, 1998
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ascension!: An Analysis of the Art of Ascension as Taught By the Ishayas (Paperback)
Reading "Ascension" can be a very pleasurable experience to anyone interested in a new way of looking at their life, and at the stress that they have right now. But it is not enough to just read it, one must decide that there really is a way to change things. Change attitudes, beliefs, ways of looking at the world around them, by realizing that there really is a way to contact our inner Selves, and we hold the methods right in our hands, if we only care to use them. A great book for showing us that we can become on the outside what we have always been on the inside. This is a five star book for anyone that really wants it enough to do whatever is required.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short Introduction to Spirituality and the Ishayas' Ascension technique, September 3, 2010
This review is from: Ascension!: An Analysis of the Art of Ascension as Taught By the Ishayas (Paperback)
Since I learned the Ishayas' Ascension technique before I read this book, I think I used the information in it as a tool to better understand the technique. The book is a light introduction to spirituality, human consciousness, and how the Ascension technique can help someone expand their consciousness. It doesn't teach you how to do the technique. You have to do that in person with a teacher. Overall, I like it because I can use it as a reference tool alongside the practice of the technique.

5.0 out of 5 stars A ground-breaking book!, November 24, 2007
This review is from: Ascension!: An Analysis of the Art of Ascension as Taught By the Ishayas (Paperback)
Ascension is a ground-breaking book that talks about a technique that points readers to the Truth. If you are searching for a way to keep your old belief systems in place, and continue the state of sleep walking that many people consider to be reality, then this is not the book for you. If on the other hand, you yearn for something more; for the Peace that Passes All Understanding, then this IS the book for you.
Read it and Let go.

5.0 out of 5 stars An old Teaching for modern world, February 11, 2011
By
Hermes Trismegistos (Lincoln city, OR United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ascension!: An Analysis of the Art of Ascension as Taught By the Ishayas (Paperback)
in one sense there is nothing new in this book and yet for me the revelation was the simplicity that all of the information was coming from. I could not help, but feel that MSI was speaking directly to me. Not really giving all that much to chew on with my mind, but just inviting to have an experience. And I tell you I did have an experience of the tools that he describes at the end of the book. and that went far beyond anything I read from the book. Somewhere in the book MSI said that it is really only an invitation from the Ishayas to learn the techniques and I get what he is saying. The experience is worth reading a hundred books on the subject.

I recommend this book on the basis of what i have experienced with the Ishayas Teaching of Ascension. It can be a life changing experience, if you have a resonance to what he is presenting. It was for me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative for me as a beginner, July 27, 2010
This review is from: Ascension!: An Analysis of the Art of Ascension as Taught By the Ishayas (Paperback)
I'm a kind of new to spiritual path but am very interested in Ascension issue in spirituality,so I found this book informative.
It seems this book is geared to the beginners but for me it is still a little difficult. I have not yet read Course of Miracles thoroughly (I only read its summary),so I think I should read this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good into to spirituality, weak of the advanced stuff, April 15, 2004
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ascension!: An Analysis of the Art of Ascension as Taught By the Ishayas (Paperback)

The four ascension attitudes of Appreciation, Gratitude, Love, and Direct Cognition are the core of the intro to Ascension and the Ishayas teachings. It is too bad that these concepts were not introduced more clearly at the beginning of the book and used as chapter themes throughout. An opportunity surely missed to make this a better book. Like how do I remain in Appreciation when things happen in my life, etc.

The material on the 27 spheres in the APPENDIX is very interesting. It too should have formed the core of the book. With the good stuff buried in the back most of the book is kinda mushy and light. As is the book might be best for a teenager or someone in their twenties. I hope the Ishaya teachers write something more substantitive.
