I purchased this cookbook for several recipes I'd seen referred to somewhere in cyberspace. In addition to the recipes, the author has chosen to include a glossary of herbs, spices, and ingredients, many with appropriate substitutions not usually found in Asian cookbooks. This is a wonderful book for a beginning Asian cook. Now I'm encouraged to purchase other Asian cookbooks from this LEARN TO COOK series.
