Just what I was looking for!
I was looking for a cherry wood stand which would raise my chinese flower pot just a little off the hardwood floor. This perfectly fit the bill. The base of my pot measures 8 inches and I ordered the 8.5 inch stand. This allows for a little freedom in the stand, but is unnoticeable to the eye.

Rosewood = cardboard
The appearance of this stand is very nice, but it is actually made of pressed cardboard, which makes it overpriced.

I really like this item. I have several sheffelera plants in terra cotta pots and when I water them sometimes the water leaks out and onto our hardwood floors. I purchased this stand to lift the larger terra cotta pots (and thus any excess water) off the hardwood floors. Its perfect - simple and unobtrusive. Looks much morer expensive than it is.
