First off, no one else has reviewed that these spoons are in fact, made of plastic.

I was expecting these to be made of clay/porcelain.

Secondly, they were packed extremely poorly. Just thrown into a box with the receipt. No packing whatsoever, which I guess is fine, as they are made of plastic, and likely wouldn't break in shipping. But still.

All in all, they'll serve their purpose...look cute from afar...but once you pick them up, you'll be let down.

I had been looking in stores around town for the Asian-style spoons for longer than I care to remember. Most of the time, I prefer to purchase in a store so I can see the actual item I'm buying. I finally broke down and bought these through Amazon.com and I'm very glad I did. The items look exactly as shown, feel very solid (not fragile), and even the color is dead-on. Plus the price I paid was fantastic. Overall, definitely worth it!

I was in need of some good Chinese soup spoons, so I ordered these - they were a good price and they're so cute! I also like that they are lightweight and dishwasher safe (although I try to just handwash them myself). The little hook on the end of the spoon is awesome because they never slide into my soup/bowl! Def recommend.

This set of 2 spoons is perfect for steering miso to its destination. They are plastic, are just as pictured, no hooked handles and no long handles. I have noticed an improvement in eating any soup with these. Unlike a silver spoon, these little boats hold enough that there's a hamburger-sized mouthful of soup and no spillage. Very balanced, indeed.

Arrived fairly quickly, just like what you use at the Japanese Steak house. The packaging kept everything safe. We liked them so much -- we ordered more.

I love these....they're pretty much the same as you'd find at any sushi place. They're dishwasher safe as well, so that's a plus.

These spoons are great for eating soup because they hold a lot of broth. However, for picking up noodles and such, you will likely need some chopsticks as well. They seem to be fine in the top rack of my dishwasher, but I wouldnt put them lower then that as they might warp. The color is attractive and they look just like the picture. I do wish they had a hook on the end so you could hook it on your bowl. They are made of a hard plastic, I believe it's melamine, so not microwave safe. They add a little flair and fun to an asian meal or soup; I'm happy with them.

Cute and durable, but I recommend hand washing because they tend to melt a bit in the dishwasher. Also they are not microwave safe. Very nicely made product and serves its purpose perfectly!

These spoons are as beautiful as they are pictured- and super high quality. Dishwasher safe. I love them.

These spoons are great. I wish they came as a set or at least had other dishes that match them, such as rice bowls. The spoons are just what I wanted though, good size, color and they are very sturdy.
